The three gold medalists and faculty adviser, Doug Conrad, plan to travel to the National Skills USA competition in Kentucky in June.
The Butte College Skills USA Teams earned top honors at the 2018 State Conference and Competition. The Drafting team earned three Gold Awards placing first in the state, while the Auto team earned a Silver. Students earned the following awards: Gold-Technical Drafting, Wyatt Brodgen; Gold-Related Technical Math, Mark McKenzie;Gold- Extemporaneous Speaking, Nathaniel Bristley; and Silver- Automobile Service

"Our Butte College drafting students did extremely well, placing first in the state," said Doug Conrad, Butte College faculty adviser. "And our auto team placed second overall in the state. I'm proud of both of our teams for excelling in this competition."
